BELGRADE — Dani Urick poured in 22 points to help Belt to a 67-45 win over Twin Bridges in a semifinal game at the Class C girls basketball state tournament.
With the win, Belt advances to the championship game and will play on Saturday night at the state tournament for the 10th consecutive season. The Huskies are the defending champions and won three straight titles from 2012-2014.
Belt never trailed, beginning the game on a 10-0 run against the Falcons, who entered the game with a 25-0 record. The Huskies maintained a 33-25 lead at halftime, but broke the game open in the second half.
Kassie Hoyer added 14 points for Belt and Adrian Malek had 11.
Kailee Oliverson led Twin Bridges with 11 points, and RaeAnne Bendon added 10. The Falcons (25-1) will play Savage in a loser-out game Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
Belt (25-1) will play either Roy-Winifred or Arlee in the championship. Tipoff is slated for 8 p.m.
