SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga women’s basketball team honored Elle Tinkle and the rest of the seniors on Senior Night by clinching the program’s 13th West Coast Conference regular-season championship Thursday.

Jill Barta, the former Fairfield High School star, led the Bulldogs with 13 points to help them defeated San Diego 62-57 at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

“Tonight was a great night to clinch this outright,” Gonzaga head coach Lisa Fortier said.  “This game is a little extra special tonight. When you win when you are trying to honor these three seniors it is pretty special.”
