HELENA – Ryan Imhoff entered the Carroll P.E. Center in a walking boot Thursday evening.
The Saints’ leading scorer reportedly sprained his ankle and did not suit up against rival Montana Tech, but Zach Taylor and Lorel Johnson offered enough firepower from outside to make up for the loss of Imhoff.
Taylor had a team-high 14 points while Johnson added 12 off the bench in Carroll’s 65-42 victory. Oliver Carr took over for Imhoff in the post and had eight points and five rebounds for Carroll, which has now won nine straight games in 2017.
Chris O’Neill led Tech with 15 points and six assists but the Orediggers couldn’t slow the Saints in the first half, falling into a 36-24 deficit. Tech never led in the contest.
