HELENA – Wes Holmquist and the Bozeman Hawks knew Helena Capital would be a different team than the one they saw in early December. Holmquist watched his squad earn a 30-point victory that night, but Capital head coach Guy Almquist has a way of turning teams around.

The Bruins hung with the Hawks on Tuesday night, but didn’t have the firepower to earn a home upset.

Capital trailed 8-6 after the first quarter, but Bozeman outscored the Bruins 17-7 in the second frame and never looked back on its way to a 58-42 victory.

Lance McCutcheon led the Hawks with 13 points while four other players – Drew Huse, Morgan Hostetler, Callahan O’Reilly and Bailey Harlin – chipped in with 10 points each.
