HAVRE — Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Fairfield standout Allix Goldhahn to join the Skylight program next fall.
Goldhahn, a 5’8″ guard, was an All-State selection as a sophomore, and is a three-time All-Conference performer. She helped lead the Eagles to a second-place finish at last year’s State Class B Tournament.
Mouat said, “Allix is a great addition to our program. She has good length and athleticism, and has shown the ability to be a dynamic defender. We have watched her progress over the years and have really gotten to know her as a person and a basketball player. I think she is only going to continue to get better and that her potential is great. She’s been well-coached and really knows how to work hard on the court and in the classroom. She will be a great fit in our program and university.”
Last season, she averaged 8.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game for Fairfield.
Longtime Eagle coach Dustin Gordon said, “Allix is a lock-down defender with a driver/slasher offensive mentality. Her improved perimeter shooting and comfort in a new system has me anxious to get this season going. She is going to have a great year. We are all glad she chose to keep her talent close to home where we can all continue to watch her play as a Skylight.”
Goldhahn has also excelled on the volleyball court, where she was a three-time All-Conference and two-time All-State selection. She is a member of the National Honor Society and a multiple Academic All-State honoree. She carries a 3.9 grade point average.
Allix is the daughter of Pat and Windie Goldhahn. She plans on majoring in health promotion at MSU-Northern.
