GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Argo lacrosse roster will get a boost before the start of the spring season with the signing of California All-Star middie Dante Duran. Duran will be set to join UGF lacrosse at the start of the spring 2017 semester and will be ready to play for the 2017 season.
An athlete all his life, Duran picked up lacrosse in the 7th grade and quickly developed into a four-year member of the Norco High School varsity team in southern California. As a midfielder and face-off man, Duran was a team captain for the Cougars as a junior and senior and was named Team MVP during his senior season.
As a senior, Duran led the team in points with 30 goals and 35 assists after an 18 goal, 23 assist junior season. His performance as a junior earned him an All-Star nod and as a sophomore he helped lead the Cougars to a Southern California Championship and place in the state championship game.
Not only has he put together an impressive career with his high school team, but Duran has also played for multiple travel teams competing in tournaments in California, Maryland, and Arizona.
Along with lacrosse, Duran also played three years of varsity football for Norco as a linebacker, running back, and defensive back.
