BILLINGS – Hunter Thomsen scored all four touchdowns for Montana Western Saturday as the Bulldogs beat Rocky Mountain College 26-10 in Billings.

Western closed the victory by scoring the final 20 points, all in the fourth quarter.

The loss was Rocky’s fourth straight to close Jason Petrino’s opening season as head coach. It capped a 4-7 season. UM Western finished 7-4.

Rocky led 3-0 after a defensive first half.

Western took its first lead when Thomsen scored on a 12-yard run midway through the third quarter. Rocky blocked the point-after attempt, holding the score at 6-3.

Former Billings Senior standout Sam Sparks returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards to instantly put Rocky back on top 10-6.

But in the fourth quarter, Thomsen scored on runs of 4, 1 and 49 yards to ice it for the Bulldogs. He finished with 28 carries for 196 yards rushing.
