Montana Tech moved up one spot in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, which was released Monday.
The Orediggers, who clinched the Frontier Conference championship with last week’s 42-21 win over the College of Idaho, climbed from No. 7 up to No. 6 in this week’s poll. They’ve won eight consecutive games and are the highest-ranked Frontier Conference team in the poll.
Eastern Oregon and Montana Western are also in the top 25.
Eastern Oregon, which defeated Rocky Mountain College 19-16 last week, moved into the top 10 and is ranked ninth after sitting 11th last week. Western moved up from No. 24 to No. 22. The Bulldogs ended a 19-game losing streak to Carroll College, topping the Saints 35-28 last week.
Southern Oregon was among the teams receiving votes.
The top five in the poll remained unchanged. Marian (Ind.) is the unanimous No. 1. Baker (Kan.), Reinhardt (Ga.), Saint Francis (Ind.) and Morningside (Iowa) round out the top five. Grandview (Iowa) dropped from sixth to 11th and Missouri Valley fell from No. 9 to No. 12.
