The Frontier Conference announced Player of the Week awards today. Montana Tech running back Nolan Saraceni was selected the Frontier Offensive Player of the Week.

Saraceni, a 5-foot-10 senior from Billings, Mont., led the Oredigger rushing attack against a stingy Montana Western defense this weekend. The Bulldogs had been giving up an average of 18 points per game and just 115 yards rushing. The Billings Senior High School graduate ran for 149 yards on 27 carries averaging 5.5 yards per carry. Saraceni crossed the goal line three times including a game-high 39 yard run up the middle in the second quarter.

On the season, Saraceni has rushed for 517 yards averaging 103.4 yards per game and 5.7 yards per carry. He leads the Frontier Conference and ranks 16th nationally in yards per game. His seven rushing touchdowns on the year is tied with two others in the Frontier and he ranks 16th nationally in scoring per game (8.4 points).

The award is Saraceni’s second Frontier Conference honor.
