BILLINGS – Bryson and Braydon Deming hooked up for three touchdowns, and Caleb Nelson ran for two more as Billings West pulled away from Billings Skyview Friday, 41-21, in a battle of crosstown rivals at Daylis Stadium.

Skyview actually started the scoring off.  After a scoreless first quarter, Drew Keierleber plunged in from four yards away to give the Falcons a 7-0 lead.

Minutes later, Bryson Deming fired deep down the right sideline for Braydon.  The ball was deflected into the air, but Braydon located it and caught it before the defensive back could find his bearings, and walked in for a 69-yard TD to tie the game once again.

After the Falcons’ muffed a punt return later in the quarter, Nelson scored the first of his two touchdowns from the wildcat formation to give the Bears their first lead of the game.  They’d never give it up.

Right before halftime, Cade Nelson blocked a Skyview punt, and West recovered deep in Falcons territory.  Caleb Nelson capitalized with his second TD to put the Bears up 21-7 at halftime.

The Deming twins hooked up for their second touchdown of the night shortly after the break to push the lead to 27-7.  It would swell to 34-7 later in the third.

The win is West’s fourth straight, and moves their record to 6-1 overall.  Skyview meanwhile loses their fourth straight, falling to 1-6.  Both take on Missoula schools next Friday.  West hosts Missoula Sentinel, while Skyview travels to Missoula Big Sky.
