GFH striker, Dani Devlin, blasts a spike through Golden Eagle blockers.

GREATS FALLS – The Great Falls High Lady Bison’s momentum from their crosstown victory against CMR on Tuesday, carried over to Thursday’s match up against Lewistown.

The Lady Bison handled the Golden Eagles with ease, winning three straight sets (25-19, 25-10, 25-21). The points they gave were self-inflicted, either from hitting the ball out, into the net or palming.

The first set was highlighted by a great over the head set by Dani Devlin to Stephanie Fellows, who ferociously spiked it through a wall of Golden Eagle blockers. The Bison closed out the first set with a textbook bump, set and Sarah Dutro spike to give the Bison a 25-19 win.

The Lady Bison dominated the second set, not letting the Golden Eagles get into double digits. The Dutro-Devlin wall stuffed an Ajiah Ross spike in set point, 25-10 Bison.

The Golden Eagles played well in the third set but it still wasn’t enough to steal a game from the Bison. In the match point, Erin Hocker blocked Mikayla Comes at the net and none of the diving Eagles could get a hand on it to keep the ball in the air. Bison sweep.
