GREAT FALLS – Our first performance comes from the soccer field in Great Falls where a curving shot from Taylor Newton lifted the Bison girls to a 2-0 win over CMR, their first crosstown victory since 2003.

Next we head to the 8-Man field in Centerville where Brandon Travis ripped off a nifty 61-yard punt return against Power-Dutton-Brady. The score put the Miners on the board, but the Titans win 40-14.

Our third play comes from the ‘Samson Bowl’ where Great Falls High quarterback Kevin Boes had the play of the night (in regulation) when he connects with Blake Thelen for a 24 yard touchdown toss. But Kalispell Flathead would outlast the Bison, holding on for a 42-41 win in four overtimes. Braves coach Kyle Samson earned the win over his dad, Bison coach Mark Samson.

Number two comes from a crosstown showdown in Missoula between Sentinel and Big Sky. Spartans quarterback Mitch Roberts hits Nick Germer for a big gain, but it’s an innocent bystander on the sideline that makes the highlight – curling up in the fetal position to prevent getting trampled.

But our top performance of the week goes to Helena High’s Ryan Arntson who scored touchdowns on runs of 50 and 52 yards on his first two carries of the game en route to a 200+ yard, three TD performance. And Helena High rolled over CMR 49-0.
