The boys beat Frenchtown 7-0 in their opener Friday, and followed that up with an 11-0 triumph over Missoula Loyola Saturday.  Christian Zygmond is the early leader in the Class A goal race, tallying seven goals in the two matches.  Zygmond scored five against Loyola.

Josh Bundy has four goals in the early going, including a hat trick against the Broncs in the opener.

The defending state champion Lady Rams have kept pace right with their cohorts.  The girls scored nine goals in each game on the weekend, blanking Frenchtown 9-0 and beating Loyola 9-2.

Freshman Morgan Ferestad leads the way with five goals – two in the opener and her first high school hat trick against the Breakers Saturday.  Fellow frosh Zoie Althoff has three goals, as the future continues to look bright for the Class A powerhouse.  Central has won seven of the past eight State A titles.

Nine seniors graduated from last season’s title team, but Central continues to reload, instead of rebuild.
